Ashwellthorpe’s 2016 Toadwatch campaign from 25 January to 7 April – when thirty volunteers have carried toads to safety across The Street, Ashwellthorpe, to land near their breeding pond on Wood Farm land – has now finished and a report about it has been posted on the Leisure > Wildlife page. Also on that page can be found correspondence about the huge increase in frog numbers (24 in 2015 to 489 in 2016).
