The 2016 house-to house collection in Ashwellthorpe, together with the Ashwellthorpe Industrial Estate collection, and the collection boxes in the Kings Head and White Horse Public Houses, raised the sum £458.81. Ashwellthorpe and Fundenhall Parish Council contributed a further £50.00 for the poppy crosses which are placed around the War Memorial in Ashwellthorpe outside All Saints’ Church, and that of Fundenhall, inside St Nicholas Church, to commemorate each of the men whose names are on these Memorials. This made a total for Ashwellthorpe of £508.81.
Thanks to all of you who contributed to this great sum and to the collectors – Liz Bell, Carole and Richard Bradford, Annette Bunting, Lin Packer and Jennifer Robbie – to Mine Hosts at the two public houses and to the Parish Council.
