which has members from amongst the players who meet at Ashwellthorpe Village Hall every Monday evening from 8.00 to 9.00 p.m., is our table tennis team in Division 1 of the Wymondham and District Table Tennis League. Our 2016/2017 Winter Season League team was made up by William Cugnoni, Tom Reed, Daniel Watson and the Captain, Scott Morgan.
Ashwellthorpe Atoms joined Division 1 in the 2015/2016 season, with Henry Cugnoni (also from our Monday night club) playing as well as the above four, winning the Summer League. In the following 2015/2016 Winter League season, the Atoms played 18 matches and finished in 5th place out of the ten teams. In the 2016/2017 Winter League season, which has just ended, the Atoms were 4th (as at 1 May 2017) – more matches won, fewer matches lost, and more points scored. They also won this year’s Handicap Cup.
So WELL DONE the Atoms!
