Ashwellthorpe’s annual Cream Tea was held on a glorious afternoon this week in the garden of David Turner’s Woodman’s Lodge and a good crowd turned out to enjoy scones, jam and cream, washed down with a cup of tea or two. The garden was looking splendid; thanks must go to Mr Turner for hosting the event and to the many bakers and helpers on the day who made it such a good village event. Over £330 was raised.
