A REMINDER – The Christmas Tree Festival in St Nicholas Church, Fundenhall, which starts on Monday 4 December at 3.30 p.m. is almost ready. You can come along and see the Trees every day between 3.30 p.m. and 7.00 p.m. through till Friday 8 December. Then on Saturday 9 December from 11.00 a.m. until 5.00 p.m., combine your visit with the Christmas Bazaar and visits from St Nicholas. Bramble Bears Playgroup are holding a fund-raising Prize Bingo evening at Ashwellthorpe Village Hall, with doors opening at 6.15 p.m. and EYES DOWN at 6.45 p.m. Books only £1.00 each – buy as many as you like! – with amazing prizes to be won. Also, drinks and cakes will be available and there will be a Raffle at £1 a strip.
Come along, enjoy yourselves, and help raise much-needed funds for your village Playgroup.
The Winter Warmer Meal will be held at Tacolneston Village Hall this year – on SATURDAY 27 JANUARY 2018 – at 6.30 p.m. for 7.00 p.m. with the tickets costing £12.50 for adults and £6.00 for children. Tickets are available from Dawn on 01508 489746 and Margaret on 01508 489112.

The house-to-house collection in Ashwellthorpe has now finished, so many thanks to all of you who have contributed to this Appeal this year; there were six volunteers involved in these house-to-house visits – without them, there would be no collection. Collecting tins were also placed in the King’s Head and the White Horse Public Houses and, again, thanks to mine hosts for collecting. The total amount raised will be posted on this page as soon as it is known.

The annual Carol Service will be held in the Church at 6.30 p.m., followed by refreshments and mulled wine
The Christmas Tree Festival in St Nicholas Church will take place from Monday 4 to Friday 8 December 2017 with viewing between 3.30 p.m. and 7.00 p.m. each day. The Christmas Trees will also be on view on Saturday 9 December when a Christmas Bazaar will be held between 11.00 a.m. and 5.00 p.m., with Crafts, Refreshments and visits from St Nicholas. You can vote for your favourite Tree for only £1.00 with the money raised going to winning charities.

This will take the form of the usual monthly Community Breakfast Prayers at 09.30 and then Dianne Burridge and Alan Womack will travel to All Saints’ Church, Tacolneston, for the reading of names and Act of Remembrance of the men of Fundenhall.
