The Wymondham Area Flexibus, is run by Semmence of Wymondham. The service helps people living in the countryside around Wymondham (28 villages) to get to work, shops and medical and leisure facilities in the town, as well as providing a link with other bus and rail services. It is funded by the Countryside Agency through the East Norfolk Rural Transport Partnership, Norfolk County Council and South Norfolk Council. They will be introducing through fares from villages served by the Flexibus to the Norfolk and Norwich Hospital for passengers changing in Wymondham onto the Anglian service 59. The Wymondham Flexibus provides a fixed route commuter service and an off-peak demand responsive service from Monday to Friday, as well as a late night journey out of Norwich at weekends. The demand responsive service collects passengers from their homes or a pre-arranged point nearby and can be booked by calling 0845 600 2315 by 5pm on the day before travel (or 5pm Friday for travel on Monday). A service to the Wymondham Farmers’ Market started in June 2004, with funding from the government’s Rural Bus Challenge.
