A local expert is to examine the structure of the bell tower of All Saints’ Church in Ashwellthorpe to see if it is possible for the bells (or any of them) to be rung once again.
Owing to the unexpected availability of the film The Promised Land from the distributor, tonight’s showing has had to be cancelled.
On May 5th 2011 the Parish Council elections took place. For the parish of Ashwellthorpe and Fundenhall there was not enough candidates for a poll to take place. Therefore all 5 proposed Parish Councillors were automatically elected and took up office on Monday 9th May 2011.
The current new council members details can be found on the website under Parish Council, Councillors page. Click here to go direct to the page.
Ashwellthorpe and Fundenhall parish council consists of 7 seats. This left 2 seats remaining. A new member (Bob Aldous) has been co-opted onto the parish council and will join during July.
This currently leaves one vacancy. If you would like to be involved in the Parish Council and would like to become a councilor please contact myself Gary Betts or the parish clerk Rachel Ives to declare an interest.
