This year's Poppy Appeal collections in Ashwellthorpe and Fundenhall raised the sum of £434.08. A very grateful thank you to all villagers who gave so generously to make this a record amount raised.
Thanks must go to the house to house collectors - Mr and Mrs Bradford, Mrs Packer, Mrs Robbie, Mrs Standley and Mrs Weiner - and to the King's Head and White Horse Public Houses and Woodstock Hair Fashions for having collection points within their premises. There was also a small collection at the Quiz evening in the Village Hall at the end of October and many thanks to Ashwellthorpe and Fundenhall Parish Council for the sum of £50.00 for the crosses which commemorate each of the Ashwellthorpe and Fundenhall men who died in the First and Second World Wars.
