Young People

Hello to all Younger Residents out there!

We want all the young people of Ashwellthorpe & Fundenhall to be part of the community, give their views and contribute to this website for the benefit of everyone.

So come on all you 'youngsters' – here’s your chance to show us oldens what you’re made of, how to do it and what improvements you would like to see in your villages.

Rounders Match on Ashwellthorpe Playing Field On Sunday 12th August over 60 local adults and children descended on Ashwellthorpe Playing Field for what is hoped to be the first of many Ashwellthorpe Rounders Challenge. Four teams competed with vigour, noise and much gamesmanship!!

A good time was had by all.The matches ended with a victory for the green team and certificates were presented to each of the younger children and there was chocolate for all.

Sadly the planned picnic was cancelled at the last minute as the heavens opened. However, the rain did nothing to dampen spirits and under the shelter of the trees a follow up game was discussed. Thanks to all who took part. It was great to see everyone and to get together.Hopefully we will see you soon.

Please watch the site for announcements of future events

Pictures are on on the Photo Album !! See if you can find yourself there.

We will put information here but if any young people think that this page is not what they want please tell us (or even better, help us to produce this page and the website). Please click on the link below to try out our FIRST MUSIC QUIZ http://eoe.xarg.co.uk/ashwellthorpefundenhall/assets/documents/music-quiz/

Councils are not just about old people getting together for a chat, they do real things and if young people want to get involved they would be welcome at the Parish Council Meetings (the third Tuesday in each month at 7.30p.m. at Ashwellthorpe Village Hall). Why not also think about South Norfolk Youth Action, which is a youth forum set up by young people for the council to talk about various issues such as what the council spends our money on, sports facilities, transport and other ways to involve young people.
