ASHWELLTHORPE WEATHER DATA – APRIL 2012

A Text version of the weather patterns for Ashwellthorpe for April 2012 is given below with 24-hour readings taken between 07.00 and 08.00 at 5 Greenwood Close.

There is, however, a slight difference in April 2012 recordings in that daily figures could not be taken for the period 17-23 April inclusive owing to holiday. The rainfall figures include a total amount for that period as the rain  gauge was left to record, but humidity and temperature figures cover only the period 1 – 16 April and then 24 – 30 April, i.e. twenty-three days.

APRIL 2012

Rainfall – The total rainfall for the 30 day period was 108mm of which the highest daily amount was 26mm which fell on Thursday 5 April. In the seven day period 17 – 23 April, rainfall amounted to 25mm. In the period 1 – 16 and 24 – 30 April there were 8 days with no measurable rainfall.

The average temperature for the periods 1 – 16 April and 24 – 30 April was 5.7C with the mildest temperature of 10C occurring on Friday 27 April and the coolest of 0C on Friday 6 April.

Humidity ranged between 50% on Thursday 5 April and  66% on Sunday 29 April. Intriguing to see that the wettest 24 hour period (cumulative rainfall) recorded at 07.40 on Thursday 5 April also had the lowest recorded humidity (actual time reading)!

The first Ashwellthorpe weather data readings were made in April 2011 when only 16 days were recorded in total, but comparisons can be made by viewing the April 2011 chart at the bottom of this page.
