ASHWELLTHORPE WEATHER DATA – JUNE 2012

A text version of the weather patterns in Ashwellthorpe during June 2012  is given below, with the 24-hour readings being taken between 07.00 and 08.00 at 5 Greenwood Close, Ashwellthorpe. The temperature and humidity readings will therefore not necessarily be the hottest/coldest or most/least humid of each 24 hour period.

Rainfall – the total rainfall for June was 86mm. No daily readings were taken between Thursday 22 and Tuesday 26 June inclusive because of absence, so the total rainfall of 23mm measured on Wednesday 27 June covered that six day period. The highest single 24-hour rainfall of 18mm was recorded on Monday 4 June which, of course, included the period from 08.00 on Sunday 3 June. I’m sure you’ll all remember the terrible weather for the Diamond Jubilee River Pageant on that day. Out of the 24 days measured, there were eight days with no appreciable rainfall.

This compares with June 2011 rainfall when measurements were taken on 25 days which included ten days with no appreciable rainfall and a total rainfall of c. 58mm.

Temperature -the average temperature for the 24 days of June when measurements were taken was 13C with the warmest temperature of 19C occurring on Thursday 28 June. The coolest temperature of 9C was recorded on Monday 4 June.

During the 24 days of June when measurements were taken, Humidity ranged between 32% on Saturday 2 June and 59% on Wednesday 6 and Monday 11 June.
