ASHWELLTHORPE WEATHER DATA – JANUARY 2013

A text version of the weather patterns in Ashwellthorpe for the month of January 2013 is given below, with the readings being taken between 07.00 and 08.00 at 5 Greenwood Close, Ashwellthorpe. The temperature and humidity readings will therefore not necessarily be the hottest/coldest or most/least humid  of each 24-hour period. Rainfall was not measured during the recent snowfalls, but snow depths and the dates on which they occurred are mentioned separately.

Rainfall for the month of January 2013 was 21mm. The highest single 24-hour rainfall of 7mm was on Sunday 27 January and there were 16 days with no measurable rain or snowfall. There were five days in January 2013 with fresh snowfall – 100mm on Tuesday 15 and 25mm on Wednesday 16 January; 30mm on Friday 18, 70mm on Monday 21 and 20mm on Saturday 26 January, giving a total snowfall of 245mm.

Temperature – the average temperature for January was 1.2C, with the warmest temperature of 9C occurring on Wednesday 30 January 2013. The coldest temperature of -8C was recorded on two days – Wednesday 16 and Thursday 17 January 2013. Temperatures of zero and sub-zero were recorded on 16 days of the month.

Humidity ranged between 50% on Sunday 13, Wednesday 23 and Thursday 24 January and 66% on Sunday 27 January 2013.
