ASHWELLTHORPE WEATHER DATA – AUGUST 2013

The weather pattern for Ashwellthorpe for the month of August 2013 is given below with the readings being taken between 07.00 and 08.00 at 5 Greenwood Close, Ashwellthorpe. The temperature/humidity readings will therefore not necessarily be the coldest/warmest or least or most humid in any 24 hour period.  No readings were taken on 1 to 4 August 2013 inclusive.

Rainfall for the month of August 2013 amounted to 41mm. The highest single total of 12mm was recorded on Saturday 24 August and there were fourteen days with no measurable rainfall.

Temperature – the average temperature for the month of August 2013 was 16 C with the warmest temperature of 20 C being recorded on Thursday 29 August. The lowest temperature of the month was 11 C recorded on Tuesday 13 August 2013.

I have to say, as mentioned above, no early-morning readings were made on Thursday 1 August when I believe the highest Norfolk daytime temperature reached 30 C.  It is possible that the early-morning temperature on this exceptionally hot day might have been in excess of 20 C.

Humidity – the lowest reading of 40% was recorded on Saturday 31 August 2013;  the highest was 60% recorded on Saturday 24 August 2013.
