The weather pattern for May 2014 is set out below – the various readings are taken daily between 07.00 and 08.00 at 5 Greenwood Close, Ashwellthorpe. The temperature and humidity readings are, therefore, not necessarily the warmest/coldest or most/least humid in any 24-hour period. Readings were not taken on the mornings of 1, 2,18 and 31 May.

Rainfall – The total rainfall for the 27 days measured amounted to 121 mm, with the most rainfall in any 24-hour period of 26 mm being recorded on Thursday 22 May 2014 which was slightly more than the 25 mm recorded on Wednesday 28 May 2014! There were 13 days without measurable rainfall.

Temperature – The average temperature for the 27 recorded days of May 2014 was 11C, with the highest of  16C recorded on Tuesday 20 May. The coldest temperature of 6C was recorded on Sunday 4 May.

Humidity – The lowest humidity recorded in these 27 days was 40% on Friday 30 May, and the highest of 62% on Wednesday 28 May 2014.
