ASHWELLTHORPE WEATHER DATA – AUGUST 2014

The weather pattern for Ashwellthorpe during August 2014 is set out below – the various readings are taken daily between 07.00 and 08.00 at 5 Greenwood Close, Ashwellthorpe. The readings will , therefore, not necessarily be the warmest/coldest or most/least humid  in any 24-hour period. Readings were not taken on 4, 12, 14 or 30 August 2014.

Rainfall – The total rainfall for the twenty-seven recorded days of August 2014 amounted to 47 mm, with the highest rainfall in any 24-hour period of 13 mm being read at 07.30  on Tuesday 26 August – the morning after this year’s very wet Bank Holiday Monday which everyone will remember! This amount was closely followed by the 12 mm rainfall which was recorded on Monday 11 August 2014. There were seventeen other days during August 2014 when there was no measurable rainfall.

Temperature – The average temperature of the twenty-seven recorded days was 14 C with the warmest of 18 C being recorded on Friday 1, Thursday 7 and Friday 8 August 2014. The coldest temperature of 9 C was recorded on Thursday 21, Saturday 23 and Sunday 24 August 2014.

Humidity – The lowest humidity recorded in August 2014 was 34% on Monday 11 August, with the highest being 62% recorded on Tuesday 26 August.
