An Automated External Defibrillator (AED) unit has been purchased and will be fitted to an outside wall of Ashwellthorpe Village Hall with access to its use extended to all who live or work throughout the parish. The unit acquired is nominated by the British Heart Foundation and the Community Heartbeat Trust and, as the Editor of the latest edition of The Mardle tells us, “the purchase of this vital piece of equipment has been made possible by generous pledges from Ashwellthorpe Village Hall, a local business and the Ashwellthorpe Gardening Club following the recent successful Open Gardens Weekend”. It is also hoped that an additional defibrillator can be installed in Fundenhall in the near future.

There will be an updated report on AED fund-raising in the November edition of The Mardle, but updates will also appear on this Ashwellthorpe community website.
