Wreningham Primary School

8 April 2011 – The Easter Holidays have now started – back to school on Tuesday 26 April.

Wreningham Voluntary Controlled Primary School

Wreningham VC Primary School is set in stunning surroundings in the beautiful village of Wreningham, 10 miles south-west of Norwich.  We are very privileged to have a school which has many modern facilities but with a tradition of being at the very heart of the community.  As our school motto says

Together Everyone Achieves More

At Wreningham VC Primary School we offer a happy and friendly atmosphere where children can grow to their full potential and become responsible and caring members of the community.  Children are happy to come to their school and remember their school days here long after they have left.

Visit our school website to find out more!

Report from Gary Betts, Community Goveernor in the Spring 2010 “Mardle” – The School Council raised over £1,000 during 2009 towards the extension of climbing walls and cargo netting and, with support from the Friends of Wreningham School, this extension was completed at the beginning of February 2010.

The School has gained Healthy School Status by the dedication of the School towards Healthy Eating, Personal Social and Health Education, Physical Activity and Emotional Health and Well-being.

Once again, Wreningham School has achieved an Eco-School Green Flag Award – a national award achieved by the school showing we are ecologically friendly and teaching the children the importance of looking after the environment.  Some of the areas focused on in the school are: litter reduction, energy conservation, healthy living, school grounds and biodiversity. We have eco-warriors in the school who ensure an eco-perspective in decisions that are taken, energy monitors, litter pickers, bird feeders etc. as well as a gardening group.

Report from Gary Betts, Community Governor in the December 2009 “Mardle” – Wreningham School was recently “OFSTEDed”. We are proud to announce that we have been judged as a GOOD school, with a GOOD capacity to improve, with the children making GOOD progress. We also have many OUTSTANDING features, including the care, guidance and support that we give the children, the pupils feel safe in school and the extent to which children adopt healthy lifestyles.
