The service helps people living in the countryside around Wymondham (28 villages) to get to work, shops and medical and leisure facilities in the town, as well as providing a link with other bus and rail services. It is funded by the Countryside Agency through the East Norfolk Rural Transport Partnership, Norfolk County Council and South Norfolk Council. They will be introducing through fares from villages served by the Flexibus to the Norfolk and Norwich Hospital for passengers changing in Wymondham onto the Anglian service 59.
